Taking the agitation against the Centre a notch up, a 'jatha' of 111 farmers wearing black clothes started their fast-unto-death from Wednesday at Khanauri border in solidarity with their leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal whose indefinite strike entered day 51. The farmers have been staging protests against the Centre in support of their various demands.

Under the banner of SKM (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, the farmers, have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points between Punjab and Haryana since February 13 last year after their march to Delhi was stopped by security forces. READ FULL STORY

South Korea: Impeached President Yoon Arrested Over Martial Law Declaration

In their second attempt to detain him, South Korean anti-corruption investigators arrested impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday. The arrest took place hours after the hundreds of the agency's investigators and police officers arrived at his presidential compound.

The officials once again encountered an hour-long standoff at the gate before they were seen moving up the hilly compound. Police officers were earlier seen using ladders to climb over rows of buses placed by the presidential security service near the compound's entrance.
